Bright, flexible and stylish, the Durdent Suite at Denham Grove is one of our most popular corporate event spaces. Set within our recently refurbished, film-themed conference wing, this contemporary suite offers the perfect balance of functionality and comfort for business meetings, conferences and private events.

With capacity for up to 180 delegates theatre-style or 140 for banqueting, the Durdent Suite is ideal for mid-to-large events, including:

Conferences and seminars
Training sessions and workshops
Awards evenings or corporate dinners
Networking receptions and product launches

Versatility Built In

The Durdent Suite can be used as one large space or divided into two self-contained rooms:
Durdent 1 and Durdent 2 – each offering seating for up to 80 theatre-style or 36 cabaret. This layout makes the suite perfect for breakout sessions, parallel training, or smaller boardroom-style meetings that still benefit from access to the full suite’s amenities.

Banquet

The banquet-style setup features multiple round tables distributed throughout a spacious room, each
surrounded by up to 8 chairs or designated standing areas.
This layout is ideal for events that include meal services or refreshment breaks within the programme.
It promotes a social atmosphere, making it perfect for networking sessions where participants can
mingle in small groups and move freely between tables.

Boardroom

The boardroom-style configuration has a central table, usually rectangular or oval, surrounded by
chairs. It accommodates up to 25 people and is ideal for agenda-driven meetings or video conferencing.
The close seating arrangement fosters open discussions and makes it suitable for shorter sessions like
focus groups or workshops where interaction and dialogue are essential.
This style is recommended for events that involve mid-sized groups engaging in detailed discussions.

Cabaret

The cabaret-style room arrangement places round tables throughout the venue, similar to the banquet
setup, but with a key difference: chairs are only arranged in an arc around half of each table.
This configuration ensures that all seats face the stage or focal point, making it optimal for events that
include presentations or performances.
The cabaret layout is particularly suited for events where viewing is important but where the audience
also benefits from the ability to engage in discussions and note-taking.

The classroom-style setup incorporates tables in front of attendees, who are seated in rows facing a
central speaker.
This arrangement supports note-taking and interactive tasks, making it suitable for presentations that

activities using materials on their tables.

Theatre

The theatre-style layout features a central stage or focal point for the speaker, with chairs arranged in
straight or semi-circular rows facing it.
This setup is ideal for presentations or sessions where information is primarily delivered from the
speaker to the audience.
It suits large groups well, particularly when audience interaction is minimal and note-taking isn’t
expected.
Typically used for passive learning, this configuration allows speakers to address their topics and field
questions from attendees, making it a common choice for large-scale conferences.

U-Shape

The U-shape conference room style arranges rectangular tables end-to-end to form a “U” shape,
with chairs placed on the outside. This layout supports presentations, video conferences, and training
sessions.
The table in front of each participant facilitates note-taking and enhances interaction between the
speaker and the audience, as well as amongst the audience members themselves.
This configuration allows for active participation, making it suitable for sessions where speakers might
encourage audience interaction or for multiple speakers taking turns in the central space.
